All of which means that Russia's next leader will probably be one of the oligarchs already near the seat of power or one of the generals, either way, neither of them is likely to make any changes and will simply assume leadership for life for themselves. So, without some sort of monstrous political blunder, Russia is more likely than not to remain a nation crippled by dictatorship.
