January 6 House Committee Set To Hold Public Hearings In New Year
As a general rule presidential documents that go to the National Archives are not classified. In which case the Trump documents were already public documents when they went to the Archives and if anyone had bothered to ask for them they'd have gotten them.
In this case, even if Trump had ordered the documents classified when he held the presidency, they became public again when President Biden ordered them released. Which reminds me, there are a number of security clearances President Joe Biden needs to cancel, Jared Kushner for one, Bill Barr is another and there's a host of other former White House denizens who need to have their access to classified documents recinded.
