I've been experimenting with talking to MAGAs
And what I've found to be the best approach is to listen first
But don't come back with arguments on the same subject.
Just say "yes... but... (state something else and say why
you don't think that will succeed. While MAGAs are very
good at parroting and staunchly defending the positions they
take, they collapse if the conversation keeps shifting from one
failing point to another. They do not come back with direct frontal
challenges, but keep hitting them with shifting explanations.
They start out with "The tariffs will bring back jobs."
Explain: "Let's say you have a business making lasers and
you need a machine made in China." You don't say: "No, they
won't, or we pay them." Because that prepares them to reject
whatever you say. If you slide around to something else, they
aren't prepared to think their way out with a talking point, and
they love listening to stories lol. The point is, we've got to get
all of us back to supporting the Constitution and the rule of
law, or we won't have a country anymore, and Putin and Xi
know it.
