Democrats have to remember that Republicans are persistent because they are driven, the moment Democrats let their guard down and fail to get to the polls this cult driven cabal of people who even vote against their own interest in the effort to keep gender change, people, out of bathrooms, burn books and rail against measures meant to keep them from getting a fatal disease, what kind of people are so delusional that they would actually demand that they be allowed to remain exposed to a fatal disease and fight for their "right" to infect others. They are half-crazed lunatics who will not be silenced by either facts, science or reason. So they will always come out in whatever numbers they have in their efforts to get their own disastrous ways.
