While half a million deaths from the disease is more than enough reason to push vaccinations, we're forgetting the millions more who were not killed but are going to live with severe impairments from having been infected. 500k plus deaths need to be added to the non-lethal but disabling impairments that are being suffered. Thus the problem extends to possibly millions.
