It's going to be long-term pain for zero gains.
The jobs that come back will be low-skilled, low-paid jobs, and that's only
If there are enough consumers left who can afford and/or need those
products. For example, homeless people have little need for paperclips.
In the meantime, while we're waiting for the two to three years for some
factories to be built, many people will be dislocated, where the turmoil
and chaos of their finances forces them out of their homes and into the
streets onto soup lines. Trump is thinking like a billionaire who can
weather these financial storms he's creating for the rest of us. Nor will
Mr. Musk be "fired", Trump needs his money and will keep him in the
background, ready to fund primary challenges against people who get
out of line.
