One thing standing in the way of any defense theory is the fact that Trump cannot
be trusted to stick to the story and/or keep his trap shut. Another block is that
Trump cannot be allowed to take the witness stand and many of the theories
of defensive argument require him to take the stand and assert them himself.
Any lawyer who would even theorize that Trump might take the stand in his
defense is not a real lawyer at all.
