The trouble with a second Trump term is that he will radically change the government
from a rule-of-law government to a rule-by-loyalty government. While that might
not impress many people, the truth is there are literally trillions of dollars of
investments, pensions, and businesses that depend on the steady state of the
law. Once that changes to a loyalty-based law we have the same paradigm
that Germany suffered under Hitler. It was pure chaos, a government fueled'
by grievance and hatred with only the will of the supreme leader to guide
all activities. Economists do not wonder why Hitler's form of government
ran out of resources on a consistent basis which impacted their ability to
wage war even as the people stayed with them. We have a highly developed
and highly complex industrial, economic, and academic nation, if that gets
shuttered/changed, there will be such chaos to replace it that functions will
have to be abandoned as unworkable. We will quickly run out of the
resources we enjoy and devolve into the paradigm of scarcity.
