A couple had 750k which would have given them a
nice little retirement except that it was invested in
Enron. By the time they were able to sell the stock
they got 23k for it. Their golden years were then
heavily reliant on Social Security. I can't count the
number of wealthy people who finished their golden
years in the poor house, but hey, safety nets, right?
