Because this is not a family budget, this is a nation's effort to
preserve the faith and trust of the nation and the globe in the
liquidity of the dollar and the strength of our pledges to suppliers.
The ceiling has to be raise for a variety of reasons, not the least
of which is that after Bill Clinton handed the GOP the Presidency
with a surplus, George W. Bush started two unnecessary wars
that cost the nation trillions of dollars. Every time the Democrats
repair the fiscal damage Republicans cause, the Republicans
come back and create more damage and chaos.
