The fact that the GOP is no longer pursuing the faith and trust
of the people means that they feel they can function without it
and that means they are relying on their followers' cultism rather
than looking to them for secular leadership. Santos is operating
as a functionally insane person by eschewing the rationality of
persuasion and simply relying on the gambit of voting necessity.
