Restitution is not enough, none of us would be excused if
we had stolen money or goods and merely offered the court
restitution. Meanwhile, some doey-eyed kids are sitting in
school without anything to eat and their little stomachs growling
from hunger while a multi-millionaire takes money meant to
feed them and builds a volleyball court for his daughter. Nope
someone has to pay for this with time! Politicians keep telling us
there isn't enough evidence, but that's just an opinion, we have
juries to decide how much or how little evidence is or is not
compelling enough to convict or acquit, of course, those who
realize they've been caught committing crimes would rather not
risk a trial by jury if they can possibly help it, and "campaign
contributions" seem to always do the trick, eh?
