The growing stress on Putin is cutting off the number of options
he has to continue his control of matters. The normal progression
of politics is that a weakened dictator doesn't survive very long as
opposition grows like a snowball rolling downhill. People and
pretenders to the throne alike are seeing this as opportunity and
they contrive to keep throwing "logs on the fire".
