What we have learned, due to the J6C investigation, is the answer to several questions about the post January 6 conduct of the President and his staff. We now know that -- the damning knowledge of -- the attack on the Capitol was so terrible that there was no choice but to conceal it. Every participant who agreed with and assisted Trump with his scheme knew they were party to a series of very serious crimes for which they could be held to account if the truth were to come out. They had every reason to be absolutely terrified, as we can now understand.
