It really seems that Putin's health is in decline this invasion may just be his "farewell tour".
People tend to forget Tom DeLay's efforts to create a "Permanent Republican Majority" using Jack Abramoff who shook down Indian Casinos to raise money for a nationwide Gerrymandering campaign that is bearing fruit today. It has been three decades since the Republican party has decided that it would take power by "hook or by crook" instead of making persuasive offers to the voters. If they can only win this election they will have no further need to pander after public opinions.
