The Republican Party has not been interested in "creating a more perfect union", instead they are bent on simply getting their way on things despite any and all opposition, which is a recipe for totalitarianism. GOP followers do not care or understand that they are being persuaded to set the stage to have a "Dear Leader" take away their rights to peacefully enjoy life and liberty, because a dear leader cannot abide any opinions/ideas other than his own. Republicans should have a look at China and North Korea to see where their one-sided party members are taking the nation. Gun rights? How can a dictator allow the public to keep and bear arms that could be used to resist themselves?
