The whole Trump term was just one big grifter's paradise. Everyone involved with Trump was using him to raise money based on spurious but emotionally driven claims. Every chance they got to claim an issue, every accusation against them every adverse event/issue/claim/charge became a cause to plead for funds from followers they knew to be gullible because the cases they were making were untrue and without factual basis.
