Bull Shit!!! If a welder were to so mishandle his torch as to cause a fatality he or she would be fired immediately, so accident or not, one who so mishandles a deadly weapon that they cause an "accidental" death needs to be fired immediately, if only to enforce the idea that the department does not condone lethal accidents.
