The real problem is that, if this Presidents transgression of our laws is allowed to stand, for any reason, less partisan ones, then that means that there are no laws that can defend anyone's individual freedoms or rights. Without laws that must be strictly observed by the powerful, you have no laws that can protect any freedoms or rights you may imagine yourself to have. So, without laws having the power to protect your rights, you have no rights. This is what partisanship is doing to our nation. Our soldiers may soon be fighting for those in power, instead of for our Constitution and freedoms and rights.
If you think that's the worst of it you'd be wrong. Because there are people who believe that some people should not have the right to live, when they gain power (and there will be nothing to stop them) they will gain the power to do as they please, as happened in another country far away, sometime ago. You might want to ask around about that and see if you can figure out what happened that caused a war that left 55 million people dead. With today's technology I am afraid a new war today will leave deaths in the billions. Like a journey of a 1,000 miles beginning with one first step, this journey towards armageddon begins with the first broken law being excused.
