Where we are going without facts is to an authoritarian government, you cannot have a free society if you can't have facts to rally around in unison. If we cannot agree what is and is not Constitutional, then we can't agree that we actually have a Constitution. If we can believe whatever we want regardless of the truth and/or the facts, then we cannot agree on what should be done that will observe anyone's rights. Thus, anyone with the force to impose their will, has the right to do so. There is no way to effectively argue against them, one needs to either succeed with opposing force or fail.
