Well, we already know Pompeo is a liar so we need not take his word for anything.  That's what it means to have no credibility, everything you say has to be checked.  That aside, there's no defense or defending this fool of a President who put so much into trying to complete his conspiracy that he created too many avenues and threads that each prove and reinforce the case against him.  The effort, to cast each piece of evidence as a fluke, a misstatement or misquote fashioned by some partisan actor(s) in a "sour grapes" effort to repay their 2016 loss at the polls, fails against the vast collection of evidence that proves all such claims to be little more than desperate lies.
