Still-grieving mothers ask Andrew Cuomo to assign special prosecutors 'to all cases of police killings moving forward'

Valerie Bell, whose son Sean was killed in a hail of 50 police bullets nearly nine years ago, recently saw his 8-year-old daughter cover her face at the sight of cops.

“We were at church on Sunday and police officers came into our church,” Bell said Tuesday. “My granddaughter when she saw them she covered her face. I was like, ‘Wow, maybe she’s afraid of them.’”

Bell, who broke down in tears while retelling the story, is one of 18 family members of people killed by cops who penned a letter to Gov. Cuomo.

The letter dated Feb. 24 and obtained by the Daily News urges him to “enact an executive order to assign a special prosecutor to all cases of police killings moving forward.”

Bell, who said she didn’t get an answer when she asked little Jordyn why she covered her face, sat through the trial of the cops who killed her son, only to have them found not guilty.  READ MORE
