Jon Stewart Asks When Fox Is Going To Hold Themselves Accountable For Their Anger And Divisiveness

The Daily Show's Jon Stewart took a whack at Fox "news" for the double standard when it comes to their screaming for accountability on Ferguson while refusing to hold themselves accountable for their Benghazi witch hunt.

Stewart Trashes Fox for Calling for Ferguson Apologies: Where’s Your Benghazi Apology?:
Stewart took note of how Fox touted only one of the two DOJ reports on Ferguson––the one that very clearly refuted “hands up, don’t shoot.”

And in the weeks since, Fox News has been questioning where all the apologies are for people who pushed that narrative. Stewart agreed, asking, “Wouldn’t it be nice if people who jumped to conclusions and peddled a false divisive anger-stoking narrative had to apologize for misleading America?” READ MORE

Jon Stewart rips Republican fear-mongering over Obama: ‘You have lost your d*mn mind’

On his show Wednesday night, The Daily Show host Jon Stewart lampooned Republican politicians who demonized President Barack Obama in 2008 as a radical socialist who was weak on terrorism.
He noted Obama had failed to live up to many of the campaign promises that his opponents made for him, like “completely socializing” the economy, letting radical Islamists dance in the streets, taking away Americans right to bear arms, and “eliminate freedom of speech” for radio show hosts Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity.

“That was all in 2008, there was a lot of fear-mongering and doom-saying, but by now we have pretty much seen Obama’s first term,” Stewart said. “It looks like conservatives got a little bit kicked in the crystal balls on this one.”    READ MORE

The Daily Show: Newt Gingrich, Freaker of the Spouse

By Heather

After noting that within minutes of Rick Perry dropping out of the GOP primary race and endorsing Newt Gingrich, the announcement came that Gingrich's ex-wife, Marianne was, as he put it, “about to go Divorce Court on his ass”, Jon Stewart ripped on Gingrich for this not being the first, but the second wife that Gingrich divorced after finding out that they had a serious illness.

STEWART: Oh, it's the second of his three wives, Marianne. The Jan Brady, of Mrs. Gingrich's. The meat in his wife hoagie, The Empire Strikes back of his wives. The one that ends kind of sad, but in retrospect is really the best one. Well at least I can't imagine Marianne had as big a beef with the former Speaker than... as his first wife.

First wife cancer, second wife multiple sclerosis. Can Newt Gingrich be reclassified as a pollutant? A carcinogen? This guy's like the dioxin of husbands!

Jon Stewart celebrates ‘miracle’ of GOP candidates fighting over ‘who loves Jews more’

By David Ferguson
Friday, December 9, 2011

Every four years, says John Stewart, a holiday “miracle” takes place. The Republican candidates for president line up to speak to the Republican Jewish Coalition Forum, an event where conservative Jews gather to witness the spectacle of several “incredibly religious Christian presidential candidates fighting over who loves Jews more.”

At this year’s event, Rick Santorum’s opening salvo was to declare that he and his wife (meaning: his wife) picked out a tile in Jerusalem to hang by their kitchen sink. Rick Perry bragged of his multiple visits to Jerusalem’s Western Wall. Michele Bachmann scored high for joining a kibbutz straight out of high school, and Mitt Romney mangled a Seinfeld quote.
