CNN needs to fire Jeffrey Lord if they want to keep the name "News" in their name. His performance with Van Jones tonight was shameful. Utterly shameless and also shameful. It was an insult to every Black person watching, and a mark on the head of any white person who would tolerate such lies.
First, Lord tried to deny Trump's racism and claim Trump had "disavowed" David Duke.

Then he goes to the so-called Republican Establishment to prove he and his pal Trump are no racists. Feigning shock and repulsion, Lord claimed, "Their view of civil rights is to tip the waiter five bucks at the local country club. This is atrocious." READ MORE

Fox’s The Five Defend Donald Trump’s Refusal To Disavow David Duke And The KKK

If ever you needed proof there’s almost nothing Donald Trump can do or say that his loyal Fox News supporters won’t defend, watch The Five turn him into a victim over his refusal to disavow the support of David Duke and the Ku Klux Klan.

Significantly, the show did not play the clip of Trump repeatedly refusing, on CNN’s State of the Union, to disavow Duke to an astounded Jake Tapper. Instead, cohost Eric Bolling began the Fox News discussion by saying Trump “tried to clear up a racially charged controversy involving unsolicited support from former KKK leader David Duke.” Bolling noted that Trump disavowed Duke’s endorsement on Friday but faced criticism for not repeating his repudiation again on the Sunday show. 3 members of Florida Department of Corrections found to be in KKK; arrested for murder plot

Two current and one former prison employee who all belonged to the KKK planned to kill a black inmate as he was released in retaliation for a fight, officials said Thursday. The three men — Thomas Jordan Driver, 25, David Elliot Morgan, 47, and 42-year-old Charles Thomas Newcomb — each were arrested Thursday on one state count of conspiracy to commit murder, according to a statement from Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi's office.

In light of this, you must remember that a record 346 inmates died in Florida prisons last year—including men and women who were gassed to death, burned to death, and beaten to death, all by staff. The seething, bigoted spectacle taking place in Alabama this week after becoming the latest state to join the nation in marriage equality has been predictably nauseating. With Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore ridiculously ordering the state's probate judges to refuse marriage licenses to same-sex couples, chaos has ensued across the state.

This has professional bigots such as Tony Perkins, The National Organization for Marriage and The American Family Association celebrating his illegal action like the second coming. KKK Chapter Wants to Adopt-a-Highway. Will Georgia Let Them?

A fascinating legal battle is brewing in Georgia over a mile-long piece of road.

From the Atlanta Journal-Constitution:

The Georgia Department of Transportation is reviewing the May 21 request filed by International Keystone Knights of the KKK in Union County and are set to meet with lawyers from the state attorney general’s office today to decide what to do.

The application — which covers a one-mile stretch of Route 515 in the Appalachian Mountains near the North Carolina border — has placed Georgia officials in a bind. A lengthy legal battle took place in Missouri after that state sought to ban an effort by the KKK to adopt a road there. Missouri eventually lost, with courts holding that the First Amendment prevented the state from denying an applicant because it disagreed with their viewpoint.

Georgia officials could be forced to choose between approving the application in Union County, denying it and facing a likely legal fight or sidestepping the problem by ending the state’s 23-year-old Adopt-A-Highway program, where participants volunteer to beautify state highways in exchange for road signs advertising their efforts.
