Farm bailouts are useless; their overseas customers aren't coming back
anytime soon, and they know it. If you give them money, they're not
going to put it back in the ground, they'll just pack up and leave, and
sell the useless farm because they're not going to risk putting a crop
in the ground without any assurance that there won't be a bumper
crop which will cause the price to drop below their own costs.
Yes, Mr. Trump, that Dept. of Agriculture you and Elon
eviscerated, was also informing farmers what crops to plant
by keeping track of how much of each crop farmers were
planting. With that gone, the risks are intolerable now.
