The worst of it is that things will not return to normal evenly. Many
companies/retailers are leaving merchandise on the dock rather than
pay tariffs that would either eviscrate their capital and/or raise the price
of the goods to unsalable levels. Why throw good money after bad?
Just leave the shipment and walk away. That means that companies
thyat would have been ordering or reordering will be gone and so
will many of the carriers who cover the "last mile" to the stores
and manufactsors/importers and trading companies. It will a be a
logistical nightmare of biblical proportions no matter what is done.
