Too bad our schools are turning out citizens who do not understand how
our government works and/or the key principles that make our freedoms
possible. To get religious freedom, like free speech, for example, you must
grant and tolerate and defend these freedoms for others if you are to have
them for yourself. You cannot say "freedom for me but not for thee", because
you've just demanded that other ideas use violence to express themselves.
Violence stops calm, rational consideration needed to solve problems which
are legion and should not be left to fester simply because someone wants
to fight to get their way.
