His analogy fails because this isn't a credit card in the hands of a
kid, it's a budgetary matter in the hands of "the greatest deliberative
body on earth". Let's say that the Pentagon came and said: "We
need another billion dollars to create cold fusion." Do you say
no more to the Pentagon? Of course not, you raise their limit.
We had a number of crises and a reckless President who canceled
a huge portion of government income, now that there's Democrat
as President this rabid extreme GOP wants to force a terrible
showdown that is not necessary and does no one any good because
anticipation can do more harm than realization, so this brinksmanship
is unwarranted and extremely dangerous.
