America's prosperity was made possible, not by fighting, but by
our stability. Despite all of our many differences, slavery, suffrage
etcetera, we've always maintained our stability by focusing on our
Constitution and our ability to win the changes we were seeking by
persuasion rather than coercion. Do not bring a gun to a pen fight.
