What a moronic waste of Russian lives and treasure, there is nothing in Ukraine that Russia needs, wants, or can get at a reasonable cost. The historical claims are bogus and the rhetoric is false, useless, and unconvincing. So, Putin is only deluding himself with false visions of grandeur that do not enhance his prestige on the world stage. In fact he is sullying Russia's image around the world and making it more difficult for the Russian people already struggling against Putin's ministrations in their efforts to survive or even less, prosper.
