It's a lot worse than the appearances to people worldwide, we have to remember that there are financial implications to whether or not we remain a productive democratic republic or become a potential kleptocratic oligarchy. Politicians on both sides of the aisle seem to forget that there are many foreign countries underwriting our finances and even more who have stakes in "The Great American Experiment" which has done so much so far.
