While this debate rages and misinformation waxes and wanes, there's already a new variant on the march, it's called the Lambda version and it's leaner and meaner than Covid-19, it not only spreads as fast as the delta variant it is also more deadly and it can defeat the vaccines. It's now working its way through South America, but my guess is that while we're fighting with anti-vaxxers and vaccine skeptics we're in a race to contain the corona and delta before we have to deal with the lambda. Let's hope we can clear our hospital resources before they become even more overwhelmed.
