What the hell is this? Are we living in the 16th Century where we don't know any better? We haven't come through the 2nd WW and we don't know how dictatorships and authoritarians operate? We have only the word of the accused by which to judge his or her conduct? Really? We cannot reason things out on our own without the help of the suspects? Perhaps we should go back to throwing the accused in a lake and if they float they're innocent, eh? Please, give me a break, this is getting really tiresome.
