Trump is not smart enough to be a kingmaker, his ignorance and refusal to listen or read makes him an ideal "DUNCEMAKER", we've seen this happen time and again already, many of the people who worked for him are in hiding, unable to find employment outside the irrational nuts and lunatics who remain loyal to Trump in hopes that he might return to power. It simply isn't going to happen, Trump has left a trail of wreckage behind him that any new candidacy will put on public display in great detail. And that's provided he manages to steer clear of the waiting legal messes waiting to engulf him and his family.
