Trump defends decision to give Barr unprecedented powers

Aside from the dangers I mentioned in the last posting of this reminder, there's the fact that Barr is also a proven, baldfaced and syncopantic liar who will probably take some weak thread of intel and weave a fantastical lie around it to make His Majesty Trump appear the victim.  The problem is that, if he mentions a name, a place or information material, highly skilled intelligence sectors of other states are able to use that kind of information to figure out who is doing what and/or where.  That puts peoples lives and the lives of their families at risk.

To make matters even worse is that, with his new found blanket authorization to look at any and all things Russian,  there's no telling where his fishing expedition will carry him.  Even things that have no connection to the start of investigations in to Trump/Russia, may be seen and stick in Barr's memory, to be casually and carelessly remarked on later, for a wide variety of reasons.  Which is why people have to qualify to even see such sensitive material.  For sure, no proven and brazen liar would qualify to view such intelligence.
