Good politicians have shame and are easily shamed from office,
meanwhile, bad pols have no shame and refuse to leave office
unless and until they are forcibly removed. The net effect is
that bad pols accumulate in Congress and we seem to be getting
the expected results.
We're also "advertising" to the world that certain classes of people
here can get away with certain classes of crimes and never suffer
a bit. Millions or billions in ill-gotten gains will be fined a paltry
amount by comparison. What could be a better clarion call for
ill intended people to come here?
