In China and Asia we saw them using vaporised disinfectors, this kill the virus which can live on hard surfaces for 72 hours or more.  Take your supermarket shopper, if an infected person touches plastic packaged products and moves on, you come behind them and touch the same packages, you now carry the virus around.  Even if you don't touch your face, you can still put the virus in places where others can get it, like other supermarket products that you may touch.  Disinfectant vaporisers are nowhere to be seen on the American scene so far.
