Leave it to Republicans to call on racist rules, written by slaveholders during the nations slaveholding era, to attempt -- once again -- to protect a racist. Racist have a long history of denial and using the law as a shield for their disgusting offers and lawlessness.  Why any American would want to tag themselves with such a disgusting mark is beyond me, since they might just as well be wearing swastikas, wearing hoods and/or carrying burning crosses.
