They didn't just swoop in, there were negotiations/talks going on for months, and when someone told them about documents that Trump had and had not even acknowledged less turned over, with his record of handling documents hey what do you expect them to do with documents that could potentially inform foreign adversaries of CIA secret programs and agents whose lives would then be in jeopardy? Trump was very cavalier about America's secrets and oblivious of the dangers they represented to anyone other than himself.
