While I'll agree the results of the bombs were horrific, the overriding issue is not
whether or not the bombs should have been used, because the fact is that we
were at war. Our men and women were being killed, captured, imprisoned,
tortured, and often worked to death. It was not "kill or be harmed", it was
kill or be killed and the killing could not be expected to stop on either side
until one side was brought into submission. Japan was losing the war,
they had already been driven out of many lands they had once captured,
if a reasoned stance was to be taken one would expect that surrender would
happen the moment an impending invasion of the home islands was imminent
but no, it was being "billed" as a fight to the death of the last man by Japan.
The required submission, therefore, could not be envisioned to ensue without
some terrible suffering being realized sufficient to absolutely horrify the
enemy forces leadership. The leadership was comfortably insulated from
the war and could only be horrified by a real and present threat to themselves.
Therefore seeing that these terrible weapons might fall upon themselves
at any moment was convincingly terrorizing enough to force consideration
of humiliating capitulation.
How Climate Change Will Change The Map Of The Future
I've had my eye on climate change for several years, decades in fact. The problem
was, as I saw it is, the changes do not come at a steady rate. Once we begin
to see the effects of global warming, it's already too late because the climate
will not simply continue to change at a steady rate but it will seem to suddenly
begin to accelerate. That's the way nature works, it starts very slowly, and if
nothing is done to change things quickly, the process then continues on to
completion very quickly. It's the law of geometric progression where 2 becomes
4 and 4 becomes 8 then 16 and every decade seems to be tolerably changing
then the numbers begin getting bigger and bigger and by then it's way too late
because once you're in the billions the changes come too quick to even react
to.

Trump is a prosecutor's wet dream defendant. All he does is incriminate himself
because he has led such a life of lawlessness that he's become convinced that
there is no law for himself, laws are for other people while he is above it all. Hey,
you'd probably feel that way too if you'd been committing crimes and flouting the
law all your life without ever suffering any consequences.

So, what's next Mr. DeSantis? The "Benefits of Robbery?", or perhaps the
"Benefits of Rape?", maybe the "Benefits of Abduction?", what a jerk Ron

just look at the issues they debate and work with and see the chaos that

The Deep State really is the people who work in government, who know and
observe the laws and have, over time, built up the skills and knowledge to

are therefore responsible for protecting your rights as a consequence of their
adherence to laws and regulations. Hitler destroyed Germany's deep state and
as a consequence of him replacing them with people who were loyal only to
himself, the people of Germany had quietly and without notice lost all of their
rights because there was no one left to enforce the laws. The results were
as seen. So the question here becomes; "Is that what we want for ourselves
too?" Do we want to rid the government of people beholden to the law and the
regulations promulgated to ensure they be observed? Or do we want to populate
government with people who are only loyal to the President and to whom laws
and regulations have no value?
Should cops have access to our DNA??
How about an option to be contacted if law enforcement wants access?
