Trump sent an unruly group of armed people, he had agitated with unnecessary misinformation, to the capitol building. The building where the vote counting he wanted to stop was taking place. Worse yet is he misled these people into thinking that the President was going to be there to lend his authority to their presence. Trump knew what to expect, he's no stranger to inciting his followers to violence without having to overtly give any orders. (Let the participal dangle. lol)

Because it is not sane to allow a criminal President to issue pardons, once a president is accused of a crime, all pardons issued by him/her must be "provisional" contingent upon acquittal/conviction. If convicted, all pardons issued after the date of the crime accused, would be rescinded/reversed.

For my money, no president who is a "unindicted co-conspirator", who may be guilty of crimes, should not have any pardon powers other than "provisional" powers. A national set of protocols is needed so that the nation is all on the same page. Also we need to innoculate Judges and court personnel, as well as persons arrested but not convicted. An arrest should not be a death warrant and court and law enforcement personnel's interaction with the public is as critical as the needs of medical personnel, so that must be looked at.
