The world does not welcome warfare. Xi is free to open an office
in Taiwan and peacefully campaign for unification. That makes
more sense than what Putin did because he has damaged Ukraine
but he has damaged Russia even worse. He is not a victor nor will
he get the spoils, but Russia's reputation as a world-class power is
gone, the kleptocracy has damaged his military beyond repair while
he has reaped billions of dollars for his personal fortune, he is wasting
his nations lives and treasure needlessly.
