The ban on travel from South Africa is uber silly in light of the fact that so many other countries are infected and no one knows where omicron really came from only where it was first detected. So, for example, if it actually came from Israel or India or anywhere else, what good is the So. Africa travel ban except to make it look like some action is being taken without any real regard for how effective that action may or may not be?
