I don't think she made a mistake, I think she wanted out and this was
her way of dumping the case without accumulating even more damage
to her own reputation. Remember she has to live among other
professionals and she gets to feel the irritation her handling of
the case is generating, the talk of her incompetence finally got
through to her so she dumped Trump.
