According to the highly credible Senator Sheldon Whitehouse
Feinstein is the only one whose vote cannot be blocked by the
Republicans according to Senate rules. If Feinstein were to
resign her vote will be blocked by the Republicans
until the new elections are held. The Republicans are already
blocking her from voting absentee and by voting by proxy, so the
only ones who will be served by her departure is the already
out-of-control and toxic Republicans. I'm sorry but TYT has
this one wrong because while she is not competent she is
the only hope of circumventing the Republican blockages.
