The test of what Trump knew or did not know is the fact that, when told that his claims were untrue, he immediately and without further inspection dismissed anyone who presented a claim that was contrary to what Trump wanted them to say. While he retained those who supported his claims even though they could find no evidence at all to present in support of those false claims. Trump was not convinced or convincing anyone, not even himself, he was hoping to force his will on everyone around him using the powers of his office.
