Putin's failure has forced him to go on bended knee to China where Xi is waiting with open arms to further his belt and road initiatives. Of course, Xi has to worry about his own relations with the world and therefore he will not be quick to offer Putin a hand up. Putin, on the other hand, is growing more and more desperate since he hasn't enough resources to fight with 40 million people. His troops have had to steal food from supermarkets along the way and his rolling machinery has to rely on whatever fuel they can get along the way, it would be too bad if the fuel and fuel were to be doctored with Rohypnol or fuel sabotaged with chemicals that would disable his machines. Russian troops could wake up in Ukrainian jails.
