THE WARNING... LOOKING AHEAD IF THE GOP DOESN'T GET BACK IN LINE

Trump and the GOP may think they're doing something, but they have no idea what they are actually risking. As food runs out and families
are unable to feed themselves, Trump may get the turmoil he seeks as an excuse to push the military onto the streets of the cities. That will be a terrible thing, consider:

As food shortages turn into food riots and Trump puts the military into the streets of major cities, the fundamental underpinnings of the nation's complex supply chains crumble to chaos in the streets
that will prevent the financial people from doing the work that moves payments around.  That, in turn, breaks the supply networks, which in turn shutters factories and fuel refineries.

As fuel runs out and turmoil, caused by troops in the streets
dealing with food rioters and such, the streets become virtually
impassable for workers, creating worker shortages that further
shutter and break supply lines. The military, on the other hand
becomes unreliable as moral declines due to personal worries
about the status of their own family members.

Like it or not, this becomes a "snowball" rolling downhill
gathering steam until it becomes an unstoppable force that
will take down everything in its path.  This nation has become
a finely tuned machine which depends on finance, "just-in-time"
manufacturing and complex computer-driven systems that
require constant oversight by highly skilled and expert
managers and technicians to function properly. Giving us
a web/network that is easily broken and all but impossible
to restore if broken.

It seems that the people in charge don't really understand
what they are playing with or the dangerous situation they
will create if they allow the systems to break. Quite possibly
They are thinking of a world that existed in the early
20th century, where major economic and supply systems
could be disrupted without much consequence, as they
were less reliant on labor-saving devices and schemes
requiring expertise to function, and where those experts
required a peaceful environment for the systems they
created and managed to function.

In short, once "Humpty Dumpty" is broken, all the king's
horses nor all the king's men will not be able to put it
back together again.
