This mess happened because Republican Senators did not do their jobs.
Instead, they succumbed to the sirens of power, which leads
to a trip upon the shoals. Now that we know Alito's mindset we can
figure that the "Appeal to Heaven" flag was part and parcel of his own
ideology, which also means that his wife is just an "Edith Bunker" but
on steroids, a "yes dear" woman not allowed to have her own
space. Thus those flags were all Samuels's own.
