If Trump regains office his mission to lock people up will not be directed at gaining
convictions of all, but mainly an exercise directed at causing physical, psychological,
and financial distress. That can be more effective than simply convicting people
but convictions are possible too if Trump can corrupt the judiciary sufficiently.
